Has anyone here dealt with Smart Home Device QA before? Looking for some insight.

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into smart home tech lately—everything from voice assistants to connected thermostats and lighting. It’s been super convenient, but also kind of frustrating at times. I’ve had a few random issues with devices not syncing properly or updates breaking things that used to work fine.

I started wondering how much quality assurance actually goes into these devices before they hit the shelves. Like, are companies really testing them under real-world conditions? Or are we just beta testers without realizing it?

I stumbled across this service that focuses specifically on Smart Home Device QA, and it kind of blew my mind that this is even a thing. I didn’t know third-party companies were doing focused QA just for smart devices. Has anyone worked in this space or used a service like this before? What’s your take on the level of QA going into the smart home gear we use every day?

Just curious to hear from anyone else who's run into weird glitches or who’s maybe on the testing side of things. How common are these issues behind the scenes?
